Bet you guys have been enjoying the classes so far! Yeah? :)

IMPORTANT:Please check our blog often for updates or announcements alrights!!

Alrights, as mentioned in class we will meet up every Saturday to train up our physical and also work on the various routines that we have been taught.
This Saturday trainings will start officially on 22th May 2010.
[Note: Saturday trainings are compulsory, attendance will be marked.]

We will split into two classes on Saturdays' Trainings. =)
Please check your groupings and report PUNCTUALLY at the respective venues for training!

Dance Practices!

Hello Dancers!

Dance lesson officially starts tomorrow! (Bet you're excited ^^)

Venue: Block 71 Studio 2

Time: 7pm-9.30pm

Attire: Girls (non-revealing tops & comfortable dance tights)

Guys ( dance tights is not compulsory but please be in something comfortable)
**No Jeans/Denim Shorts/Skirts!
***Ballet shoes are not compulsory (if you have 'em and wants to wear, you can bring it along, Your choice!)

Eat something light before you come for class, don't starve yourself!

Remember to bring sufficient water too.

Btw, any of you interested in purchasing Foot Thongs? They are priced @ $25 each (Could be negotiated for a lower price if we purchase in bulk!)

Second audition

Hello dancers!! (:

For those who have missed out or had not made it through the first audition, fret not, there will be ANOTHER AUDITION THIS COMING SATURDAY (:

Date: Saturday, 8th May 2010
Time: 10.30am-12.30pm [probably end earlier]
Venue: Blk 71 #01-02 (beside school of BA)
Dress code: Non-revealing tops and stretchable pants

***This time round, audition will be in a form of dance class.
We will be doing our normal warm-up and technique routines + other stuffs depending on our instructor.
You are encouraged to come down an hour/half an hour before class on Saturday to run through the routines with our existing dancers. =)

If you are interested, just come down and give it a try! No harm! No worries!

Please note that this will be our LAST audition so DO make yourself free on the above-mentioned date. You are also reminded to bring $20 for the compulsory Orientation Day this Saturday if you have successfully passed the audition on the same day.

Hello dear freshies!!

Schedule for JDC Rehearsals (EDITED)

Hello dancers!

As agreed on Monday, Friday's (19th March) rehearsal will be cancelled.

Due to some changes in the timing of transport, our meeting time for this Saturday will be pushed forward and everyone is required to assemble at 1pm sharp in school. There will be no rehearsals in the morning. Please take note that this is the EDITED version of 20th March schedule (:

Saturday (20th March 2010) :

1.00pm : Report at NP Cheers.

1.45pm: Bus pick-up at NP to head to RP

3pm to 4.30pm: JDC Full Dress Rehearsal at RP

5.30pm: Bus pick-up at RP to head to NP

6.15pm-7.00pm: Dinner break

7.30pm to 9.00pm: Final Rehearsal @ Studio 3

Note: Meals for Saturday (20th March) will not be provided since the timings for the rehearsal have been changed.

Hi dancers,

Like mentioned during class, we will be having two major rehearsal at Republic Polytechnic (RP).

Meals for both rehearsals are provided. So we don't have to bring our own food! Yays.

Two-way transport will also be provided for both days.

If you wish to go home straight from RP, please let Yuting know okays. Thanks lots. :)

Yes, so just to let your know the details. We will be having a rehearsal of our own in school before heading to NTU together (:

Dress code: Black tank top + black tights/pants, ballet/jazz shoes are not required.

Rules & Guidelines for D3

The following are the rules and guidelines for D3 Dance Club:-

1) Attire:

• Non-revealing tops and stretchable pants are encouraged (no FBT, jeans, bermudas, stockings).
• Long hair are to be tied up neatly, with long fringes to be pinned up neatly.

2) Punctuality:

• Dancers are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before class starts.
  
• Dancers who are 15 minutes late without valid reasons will not have their attendance marked.

3) Attendance:

• Attendance 80% (2 CCA Points)
• Attendance 60% (1 CCA Point)
• Individual's accountability: Inform one of D3 Committee Members of your absence or late-coming.
• Dancers who wish to withdraw from D3 are required to send a withdrawal email to danceinyou@gmail.com to confirm withdrawal with reasons stated.
  

4) Dance Funds:

• Club funds are to be paid punctually on payment dates (on the very first dance class of each Academic Term).
  

5) Dance Studio's Cleanliness

• Everyone has the responsibility to keep dance studios clean.
• No eating or drinking in dance studios.

Lets all try to follow these guidelines to have a effective, pleasant and conducive dancing environment. =)

For those who are performing for the NTU piece, please note that 3rd March is a VERY important date as there will be a rehearsal at NTU from 2pm-6pm, so PLEASE MAKE YOURSELF FREE ON THAT DAY (:

And also, the Razzle Dazzle camp will be pushed back to 11-13 March.
The Annual General Meeting will be held on the 11th March where our CCA advisor and CCA overall-in-charge will be attending too.
So, this is a COMPULSORY event where EVERYONE must come thank you (:

Dance Rehearsal on Saturday.

Hello fellow D3 Dancers,

Please bear in mind, dance class has already resume since Monday 21th Dec 09. =)

We will be having a dance rehearsal this Saturday to prepare for Ngee Ann Open House Performance on the 7th, 8th and 9th January 2010.

What we will be going to do is, we will be learning and polishing on two dance pieces: most probably "Halo" and "Whatever It Takes". [We might be doing Breaking Ground as well]

If possible, all dancers who has performed this three items before, please be present for this rehearsal. =)

We will also be looking out for other dancers to perform for this two item too.

Costumes for Sleigh ride will be somewhat similar to what we wore for "That's Not My Name", with the suspenders on. The difference is that now, we all are wearing black and white. =)

To all those who are coming for interview on Monday, please take note.

We will start interviewing from 5.30pm.

As what we have observed today, each interview took about 15 to 20 mins.

If we are unable to finish everyone's interview by 6.30pm, we'll continue after dance rehearsal, which is 8.30pm.

So just take note, please be present in your casual formal attire, outside Block 71 #02-03. Bring along your filled-up form too.

Christmas Performance

Hello Dancers,

Agains, as mentioned in class, we will be having a Christmas Performance coming up.

Venue: Ngee Ann City

Date: 19th December 2009

We will be putting up two items.

1) A Christmas related dance item to the song "Sleigh Ride".

We have started the choreography today. We will be taking in a maximum of 30 dancers for this item.

2) A more technically sound dance item

Limited dancers will be chosen for this item. Song to be confirmed again.

Up till now, everyone should be very sure that Attendance is very important.

I'm gonna say this again, if you guys wants to get the chance to perform, COMMITMENT is crucial. Dancers who are inactive with/without valid reasons will be taken off from the performance. Depending on how frequently you are absent.

We have not much rehearsals left with Veronica, so please please be considerate and don't miss rehearsals. =)
