NUS is having an event "Contact 2010, a week of dance" featuring T.H.E. Dance Company. There will be technique class/workshops, theatre performances etc.

New Committee Recruitment 2010

Hey guys!

It has come to the time of the year where we change our committee members! heehee

As mentioned in class, we will be having an interview to recruit new committee members this Sat.

Details as follows:

Date/Day: 4th December 2010, Saturday.

Time: 8am to 11am

Venue: Studio 3

Steps to apply:

1) SMS your name to Yuting so that she can schedule the interview slots.

2) Please print out your application form, fill it up.

3) Bring it along when you come for the interview. :)

As yuting mentioned in class! She welcomes everybody and anybody who has the heart to serve and make D3 a better place for all dancers! We all have to play a part so as to see D3 Grow and Grow! :)

D3 @ United We Boogie!

Hey D3 Dancers!

Marcus has given us a chance to perform at the United We Boogie Showcase!

D3, together with Eden and Kay will be performing DOGS as one of the items!

Details are as follows:

Date: 3rd December 2010, Friday

Time: 7.30pm to 9.30pm

Venue: Suntec City Convention Centre, Level 2, Theatre.

Tickets at sold at $38 each!

RedCamp PERFORMANCE Last Rehearsal

Hey to all RedCamp Performers,

We did not get full cast on Saturday's rehearsal.

Hence, there will be one last rehearsal on Tuesday, 6.30pm to 9pm @ Blk 71

RedCamp TRYOUT STATION Details

Hey all,

This post is for those who didn't attend my briefing on Saturday morning.

And also just in case, I forget to mention anything. Please refer here for all the details. thanks.

Attire: Dance attire.

Reporting time: 9.30am (morning slot) and 1.30pm (afternoon slot)

Reporting place: Convention Center Foyer.

Duty: Spread yourself out among the secondary school students. Help manage them. To assist and lead the secondary school students through the four eights routine that they gonna learn.

Leaders (bolded on the schedule in the previous post) are to give a short 2 min intro about D3 and contemporary dance. =)

The 4-eights routine dance routine that we will be doing is the first 4- eights Priscilla's California Girl's Routine + a few more eights of action sequence in the beginning.

[For those who didn't come for the briefing, please report early to run through the whole dance routine with the other members.]

Red Camp Rehearsal on Thursday 11th Nov 2010

For all dancer who are involved in Redcamp's performance, please check our schedule up there for all the rehearsals that we will be having. and notify my asap if you are unable to make it.

Red Camp Duty Roster/Red Camp Performance

Hey all D3 Dancers!

Yuting is here to update all of you regarding D3's involvement in Red Camp 7 this year. :)

1) Red Camp Tryout Stations [22th-24th Nov.]

This whole Red Camp Tryout stations is to give Secondary school pupils a chance to try out the different CCAs in NP.

D3 has been selected to be one of the Tryout Stations located at the convention centre's foyer.

So what we gotta do is to spend 3o minutes with the secondary school pupils, teaching them a short 4-eights dance routine. And the whole idea is to allow them to have fun doing it. and we will be teaching something that we have done before. so no need worry about choreographing. =)

We have a total of five sessions, two sessions per day. For each session, we'll have 4 groups of 50 pupils to teach.

The slots are stated in the duty roster below. I will need at least 5-7 dancers to be there for each sessions.

Vidshare: Contemporary dance: Silence :)

This is a really simple dance routine, but yet I could feel it. I could feel how the dancers commit to it and how passionate they were in this dance. they are really clean at some parts too. I just wanna share with you guys, cox you guys can do it as well. =)

And also not forgetting to mention, times can be like stressful in dance, but i really hope everyone of us still keep that passion in our hearts burning burning burning!! =)

Combination of the colours :Red, Black and white.

Basically, you just have to have these three colours in what you wear from top to bottom, including your shoes. JUST this three colours.

Take note: Do not wear jeans which are too tight, wear bottoms which you can kick with no restrictions.
